Packing & moving tips

Use uniform box sizes and label every box on multiple sides.
Disassemble large furniture and keep hardware in labeled bags.
Place frequently needed items near the front of the unit.
Leave a center aisle so you can reach items in the back.
Stand mattresses and sofas upright to save floor space.
Use pallets or boards to keep items off the ground.

Common restrictions

For everyone's safety, the following generally can't be stored. Specific rules vary by facility.

Perishable food or anything that attracts pests
Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
Live plants or animals
Stolen or illegal items
Unregistered or leaking vehicles (where vehicle storage applies)
